Al-Sadd Winner of the Asian Champions League

Al-Sadd champion this year's Asian Champions League. In the final, it beat Qatar club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on penalties with the final score 4-2.



The final match was held at home to Jeonbuk, Jeonju World Cup Stadium, Saturday (11/05/2011). To 90 normal time ended, both teams are still equal 2-2.



Jeonbuk first lead in the 17th minute. Oliveira Junior Eninho thrilling success of Al-Sadd goalkeeper who was escorted by Mohamed Saqr.


However, Kader Keita managed to bring Al-Sadd back ahead 2-1. Ivory Coast players are tearing Jeonbuk goalkeeper at minute 30 and 61.


When al-Sadd like going to win in normal time, Jeonbuk managed to extend their breath. Lee Seung-Hyun scored in injury time to force a main half of extra time.

Up to half of extra time ended, no goal is created. Score remains as strong 2-2. The winner of the match was to be determined on penalties.

At half-tos tosan, Jeonbuk executioner successful only Eninho and Kim Sang-Sik. While Dong-Chan Kim and Park Won-Jae failed.

In the stronghold of Al-Sadd, four of them namely executor Keita, Hassan Al Haidos, Ibrahim Majid, and Nadir Belhadj managed to carry out their duties. The only failing is the executor of Lee Jung-Soo.

Asian Champions League title this is the second for Al-Sadd. Previously, the club nicknamed The Wolf is also a champion in 1989.
